Produção de verdade / Real production

Fiquei feliz com o resultado deste fim de semana. Fiz o conjunto de jogo americano encomendado por uma amiga para ela dar de presente e ao montar o pacote fiz um "kit-brinde": um marcador, uma receita fácil e um biscoito da sorte que aprendi no blog Lady Harvatine.

I'm really happy with the results of the weekend. I did the placemates that a friend wanted and I made a "gift-kit" to go with it: a pagemarker (I really don't know what this is called!), a quick recipe and a fortune cookie that I learned from Lady Harvatine's blog.

E também consegui fazer a mochila para meu sobrinho. Usei tecido de música e ideogramas japonês, duas coisas que ele gosta e estuda, e acho que ficou razoável. Dá para ele usar na escola por algum tempo pelo menos. Já vi vários tutoriais (PAPs) mas no final usei uma mochila minha como modelo e mandei ver! Tem um bolso com zíper e um bolso para celular. Acho que vou tentar fazer algum tipo de chaveiro para concluir o presente.

I also was able to make a string backpack for my nephew. I used some music and japanese ideograms fabrics, since he likes and studies both. I think it is okay. At least he will be able to take it to school for a while. I saw a lot of tutorials but, in the end, I used a backpack of my own as a model and just did it!. There is a ziper pocket inside and a cell pocket too. I think I will try to make a keychain to complete the gift.

E este fim de semana eu também fui à feira Rio Patchwork Design, que estava bem movimentada e tinha bastante coisa para comprar. Coisas lindas, seja para vender seja os quilts em exibição. Nessas horas fico muito dividida: acho que nunca vou conseguir fazer nenhum trabalho tão bom quanto o que vejo, mas também não consigo parar de querer fazer e tentar. É respirar fundo e não se deixar abater. E continuar tentando!

This weekend I went to the Rio Patchwork Design, which was quite full and had a lot of things for sale. Beautiful things all around, especially the quilts at the exposition. That's when I feel really in doubt: I think I'll never be able to do such a good job but, at the same time, I can't stop wanting to try and craft something. It's a question of taking a deep breath and don't gfive up. And keep going!

P.S. I feel the english in this post is really bad but I'll post it anyway and wait for my friend Lilia to send the corrections.
