De volta a rotina / Back to the routine

Quinta-feira e o carnaval acabou oficialmente, mas sei que ainda vai ter festa e blocos nos próximos dias, até o domingo. Mas a maré mansa já foi e de volta ao batente.


Thursday and the carnival is oficially over but I know that there will be more parties in the streets for the next days until Sunday. But the relax days are over and we are back to work.

Não produzi nem de perto o que pensei nesse feriado. A verdade é que a alergia me pegou de jeito e fiquei me arrastando pela casa a maior parte do tempo. Quando consegui respirar melhor acabei indo dormir cedo, tipo 9hs da noite! Como já mostrei aqui, fiz só os cachecóis e a tentativa de shorts que não deu certo. Tinha/tem tanta coisa na minha lista e não tive vontade de fazer mais nada... Muitas vezes o que mais me empurra para costurar é mesmo esse blog com o qual me sinto comprometida e preciso ter algo para mostrar e falar. O resto do tempo o entusiasmo está em baixo, como a economia mundial segundo os economistas... A última vez que me senti tão baixo astral assim por tanto tempo foi quando estive desempregada... Nada bom, nada bom! Vamos ver se com o ano começando de verdade eu sacudo a poeira e acho minha energia escondida debaixo da cama!

I didn't make as much as I hoped for during these holidays. The truth is that my alergies really dropped me and I felt tired almost all the time. When I manage to breath ok again I went to sleep early, someting around 9 PM! As I already showed here, I managed to make the scarves and try some shorts that didn't work out. I still have so much on my to do/make list but the will isn't there... Most of the time what pushes me to sew is this blog that I feel so commited to, so I worry about having something to show and tell. The rest of the time my enthusiasm is really low, much like the world economy if you believe the papers and the economists. The last time I felt so down and for so long I was unemployed. Not good, not good at all! Let's see with the year really starting now if I can shake off the dust and find my energy hiding under the bed!


Para fechar o post tentando levantar o astral, aí estou eu me arrumando para o almoço de domingo com a família, estreando a saia que fiz. Gostei do resultado e daria uma nota 6 pra saia. O que acham? Tenho alguma esperança nesse negócio de costurar?


To finish this post with an upbeat feeling, this is me almost ready for the Sunday lunch with the family, the first time I used the skirt I made. I liked the results and I would give a 6 for the skirt. What do you think? Do I have any hope at all on the sew thing?
