Indo em frente / Going forward

Aproveitei a semana e o feriado para tricotar e dei uma adiantada nos dois cachecois, do Bruno e da Jasmijn. Sexta trabalhei normal e bang!, quando estava voltando pra casa em meio ao chuvisco levei um tombaço na rua e estou de joelho roxo e ralado, tendo uma certa dificuldade em dobrá-lo. Começo de fim de semana nada promissor, né? :(

I knitted a lot during the week and the holiday and really jumped ahead with Bruno and Jasmijn's scarves. I worked on Friday and when I was leving my work I slipped on the street and bang!, there's go a scrapped and purple knee. I'm still having some difficult in bending it. Not a very good start of a weekend, right? :(

Mas sábado melhorou! Fiz uma nova saia de manhã com um veludo cotelê marron que trouxe da Holanda ano passado. Estava pensando nessa saia há um tempão e finalmente tomei coragem e fiz! Fiquei bem feliz com o resultado. Tem um bolso na frente e outro atrás, e o detalhe da barra, tudo com um tecido verde. Ficou bem legal, mas a foto aqui é só da saia para poupá-los da minha perna ralada e roxa amarelada. O resto do dia foi dedicado a um almoço de família, vendo fotos e filmes do meu irmão que foi assistir à prova 500 milhas de Indianópolis, a trabalho, viu! ;P

But Saturday turned out to be great after all! I made a new skirt with the brown corduroy I brought from the Netherlands last year. I was dreamming about this skirt for a long time and I finally went ahead and made it! I'm really happy with the results. I put a pocket in front and another on the back and the detail at the end, all with a green cotton fabric. It's really nice but the photo it's only of the skirt because I'll spare you all from my yellowish purple scrapped knee. The rest of the day was dedicated to a family lunch where we watched photos and videos from my brother a the Indy 500 race, and he went for his work! ;P

Domingo já não foi tão bom. Tentei fazer um bolso para laptop seguindo um PAP do blog Sew,Mama,Sew e usando o resto do veludo cotelê e feltro mas acho que ficou muito grosso e não fui andiante.Quando tentei juntar a a aba e a parte de trás nem conseguiu colocar sob a agulha. Acho que vou trocar o tecido por algodão e ver se consigo terminar. É projeto para o próximo fim de semana.

Sunday wasn't as good. I tried to make the laptop sleeve from the Sew,Mama,Sew tutorial using the rest of the corduroy and some felt but it was too thick and I could't sew it. When I tried to sew part of it I couldn't even put it under the needle. I think I'll have to change some of it to cotton and then see if I can finish it. It's a project for the next weekend.

Preciso colocar aqui! Acabei dever um episódio de C.S.I. (o original, em Las Vegas) no canal a cabo absolutamente hilário. Faz sacanagem com Jornada nas Estrelas no mesmo estilo do filme Heróis Fora de Órbita. Imperdível! Abaixo segue a chamada em inglês. Para que é fã de ficção-científica, vale a pena procurar pra ver!

I need to show this here! I just watched an episode from C.S.I. (the original one, in Las Vegas) at my cable channel and it's just hilarious. I jokes with Star Trek in the same way the movie Galaxy Quest did. A must see! Below it's the preview. For a sci-fi fan it's worth looking this up!
